How to get to Halong Bay for cruise embarkation
1. Shuttle bus of cruise lines
The most convenient way to travel from Hanoi to Halong Bay is to book a Halong Bay Cruise tour that includes the transfer roundtrip Hanoi – Halong Bay – Hanoi. After making a cruise reservation with transfer, travelers no longer worry about the transfer because they will be picked up and dropped off by the cruise’s shuttle bus which is quite safe and comfortable. The Halong Bay Cruise Lines will ask for tourists’ addresses and inform them the time beforehand for better preparation. And what you need to do is waiting to be picked up from your hotel.

2. Private car

Departing from Hanoi Airport, Hai Au seaplane will transfer travelers directly to Tuan Chau Island in 45 minutes. The price for this service is higher than others but it will be a great experience as you can admire the panoramic view of Halong Bay from the sky. This is certainly a good choice for those who have a generous budget.
FROM HAI PHONG
As at the moment, there are many new cruises embarking from Got Ferry Port – Hai Phong to explore Lan Ha Bay which is a nice alternative for the crowded Halong Bay, many tourists choose to fly to Hai Phong Airport to get the cruises here.
From Hai Phong Airport, it is about 30km to reach Got Ferry Port and about 45km to get to Tuan Chau Island. The most convenient and reasonable transport between these points is the taxi. You can easily take a taxi at the airport to get to the cruise port or if you need to be in Hai Phong Airport after the cruise, you should ask help from the cruise staff to take a taxi.
