Transportation Hanoi - Halong bay

People can get to Halong bay by:
 1. Helicopter,  flight time 1 hour, cost US$210 return. Available only on Saturday
 2. Private A. C car  , drive time 3 hours and half one way, cost US$110 one way/trip
 3. Limousine car, drive time 3 hours and half one way, cost US$240 one way/trip

 4. By public bus, 4-6 hours pending on how many stops en route the drive would make     to pick up/drop off passengers. Fare around US$5

 5. By train, people take cargo train from Hanoi to Yenvien and then to QuangNinh. The terminal is about  50km away from the habor. Expect train delay, cancellation without notice. Available hard sleeper only

 6. Hanoi - Haiphong , drive time 2 hours costs US$80 /one way. From Haiphong people can     take the hydrofoil to Catba island , 1 hour boat ride and cost US$10 per person. Schedule    9am and 12 am from Haiphong; From Catba 4pm.
